b) Do you think that criminals can be reformed by punishment? Give two reasons that support your point of view. (4)
i think that theey can because, firstly it will help they criminal to see what they have done wrong and how it affects the victim. Secondly, it will give them the skills to become good law-abiding citizens.
A very good answer worth 3 marks. You have made 2 clear and seperate points, but each one could do with padding out a little bit more. Could anyone add more to Conor's answer?
By punishing criminals it will deter them from commiting the crime again as well as acting as a deterence for others who plan to commit the same crime, it would also help them to see what they have doen is wrong and that this is why they are being punished. Lastly, Jesus believed in reforming people, as a Christian I would follow this, to make criminals law abiding citizens again.
