c) Explain Muslim attitudes to drugs and alcohol and the teachings that give them their opinion. (8)
muslim object greatly to the use of drugs and alcohol the see them all as intoxicants and should not be taken. all muslims belive that there bodies were created by allah and should be looked after until judgement day which they will be tested on and the consumption of alcohol may alter that judgement. the quur'an says that intoxicants are 'haram'(forbiden) so are not to be consumed. the effects of drugs means that they will not be able to pray and continue in there religious life. they can also lead onto the commiting of crimes 'O you who belive ! intoxicants and gambling... are an abomination of satans handiwork shun such abomination, that you may prosper' so drugs the level as the devil and is a major sin gainst allah
