b) Do you think that UK laws protect people from the dangers of alcohol and drugs? Give two reasons for your point of view. (4)
yes because the laws set in place prohibit all use of drugs that can cause immediate harm to individuals and other drugs that are legal like tobacco and alchol are under strict rules and age limits so for minors to obtain alcohol which is most damaging for people at that age
That is a very good answer. (3). Make sure that you are giving 2 clear and seperate points. Make this obvious by saying 'The second reason is...' or'alternatively... it could be said that...'
i think that they do because, firstly age restrictions are in place to protect young people against the negative affects. Secondly, it is illegal to sell alcohol without a licence, this prevents untrustworthy people selling it.
No I don't think that the UK laws protect young people from drugs or alcohol as they can still buy alcohol from older friends or find someone else who cfan buy it for them. Also, I think that the punishments they receive for committing these crimes are not enough as they do noit receieve any sort of sentence or fine.
I do not think UK laws protect young people from drugs and alcohol because it is possible for minors to buy alcohol by the use of fake ID, or by asking an older friend. Another reason I believe the UK laws do not protect young people is because they are proving to be failing as binge drinking in teenagers is considerably on the rise, proving that the laws that are implemented at the moment are being unsuccessful.
